The Hangover cure may be in the Sprite drink

Chinese scientists tested the effect of 57 different drinks and teas in enzymes that process alcohol in the liver .A team of Chinese scientists Sun Yat -Sen University investigated the effects of 57 different soft drinks and infusions cause in our alcohol -metabolizing enzymes , seeking to
determine which is the most favorable concoction to recover from the hangover (or raw cane , guava , etc. depending on location) .The article was published in the journal Food & Function of the Royal Society of Chemistry. In this, the researchers describe the experiment was to test how the concoctions affect enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH ) and aldehyde dehydrogenase ( ALDH ) , responsible for metabolizing alcohol in the liver .ADH enzyme is responsible for converting oxidize ethanol to acetaldehyde (or ethanal ) , which is then transformed by the enzyme ALDH acetate .The issue is that acetaldehyde is the main factor for the emergence of a hangover as well as causing various harmful effects on our body , so drink was sought that would enhance more aldehyde dehydrogenase activity , as well as our body would process faster the harmful acetaldehyde. The funny thing was the result: Of all the liquids tested, which showed significantly outperformed the rest were惠 宜 苏打 水and雪碧, better known in the West as the Great Value bottled water (a brand of Wal - Mart) and the drink Sprite, which scientists believe could have components that have the same effect on ALDH that taurine .This does not mean you should spend now to take Sprite with tequila, pisco , vodka , white wine and Fernet , as well as the ingredients vary around the world, scientists clarified that there is still enough to investigate , for example replicate the experiment with people , which is already being planned .
