The U.S. Navy wants jets deployed with sea water

Military inventions are not exactly something that excited us. However, it is undeniable that one of the major pathways of technological development is guided under the purview of the arms industry. Making many advances in technology and military materials of interest as the last experiment of the Navy of the United States, which aims to use sea water as fuel for its jets.

In fact what it purports Heather Willauer, who is leading the project is to generate a hydrocarbon fuel based on removing carbon dioxide from sea water and combined with hydrogen. So far they have managed to create unsaturated hydrocarbon chains due to a system based on the Fischer-Tropsch process.

What is striking about this development is that, besides having the potential to revolutionize logistics systems associated with the jet fighter, its application in civil aviation would reduce operating costs and benefits to all users. However, there is rejoicing as soon as it is only a project and reach out to civil purposes is not assured.
