Jupiter is closer to Earth

Hello friends, today we leave the orbit of global warming, because we are just a few hours closer to the planet Jupiter in the last 10 years, so it may be seen as one of the brightest objects of the sky. The giant is only 602.6 million kilometers, the shortest distance since 1999.

The orbit of the huge celestial body, composed mainly of gas that transits do so close to our planet can be seen with the naked eye at night as the brightest star.
Far from what any prophet of disaster would dare to predict, very typical in the preamble of astronomical phenomena, the closeness between Jupiter and Earth is no danger of collision or alteration of the rotation of either body, much less will be capable of generating any physical or mental imbalances in any living being.
In fact it is not the first time that opposition Jupiter ago (and is also called the phenomenon of proximity) to the Earth, the most recent was in early July 2008.

According to astronomical calculations made to date, you can see Jupiter in the twilight on Friday, just to the east when the sun is hidden. As the skies get darker, and the more clear is the enormous planet will appear as the brightest star of the night.

Although the star is within reach of the simple view, who has a telescope, however small, will have the opportunity to witness the best details of colossal planet. Apart from the four Galilean moons of the planet, eye specialist and basic knowledge of astronomy can distinguish details of its atmosphere.

Because of its huge size, Jupiter is often easy target asteroid. In late July, an amateur astronomer with a specialized telescope detected the south pole of the celestial body a huge stain.
