Earthquakes caused by man
Due to increasing human activity, from the nineteenth century, there have been more than two hundred earthquakes of great magnitude, says the German newspaper Die Zeit.
What are some causes? In fact half were caused by mining, other causes appear to have been extracting gas, oil or water, the injection fluid and the construction of dams.
An earthquake in 1989 in the Australian city of Newcastle, the scientists attributed to the exploitation of underground coal, causing 13 dead, 165 injured and 3,500 million dollars in damage.
Curiously, it is estimated that losses caused by this earthquake exceeded the total income earned from the mining operations began in this city two centuries ago.
What is going in mans mind?
